Algo paint is a natural paint that is, above all, environmentally friendly. At Algo, we manufacture all our paints, regardless of the color, from plant-based sources to ensure eco-friendly products.

Far removed from traditional paint formulas that often contain numerous chemical and petrochemical components, Algo's natural paints are designed based on an innovative formula that mainly includes algae. Already widely used in the cosmetics and food industries, these have the advantage of being a renewable raw material with low environmental impact. This is why Algo decided to make algae the raw material for its paints and have worked for several years to develop an innovative paint formula. Thus, after being treated, crushed and calcined, the brown and red algae are mixed with a bio-sourced vegetable oil containing rapeseed to create a unique texture that is both covering and flexible.
A locally produced green paint
Furthermore, the algae used by Algo are exclusively sourced from Brittany, which are then reprocessed in our family factory located south of Rennes. This ensures we produce locally, minimizing carbon emissions from transportation as much as possible.
For all colors, it is also wise to choose a paint that will highlight natural and local pigments.
In our paints, we take care to choose the healthiest pigments possible.
This is why we favor Roussillon ochres for our pastel shades.
